Spiritual Advisor · Zaha Health
Shaykh Salah Mahmoud is Imam and Religious Director of the Islamic Center of Frisco, in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, where he has led the community since 2019. He has served as an imam for more than fifteen years, before Frisco with the Muslim American Society and the Jamaica Muslim Center in New York City. He sits on the North Texas Imam Council.
Born in Egypt, he completed memorization of the Qur’an at ten and went on to a BA in Islamic Sciences and Theology from Al-Azhar University. He is a certified chaplain with the New York State Chaplaincy Task Force. He is also completing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of West Alabama.
That is the seam Zaha is built on. Families in North Texas already bring him their marriages, their grief and their doubt. The counseling degree means he knows where an imam’s work ends and a clinician’s begins, and can say so plainly in the room.
Zaha's care is built around programs: a licensed therapist and a spiritual advisor working on one shared plan. That coordination is the reason Zaha exists.
